Sir Alex Ferguson may make another move for Valencia´s David Villa as Dimitar Berbatov’s mediocre form has left the door open for a new attacker to join the club. Villa is one of the most coveted frontrunners on the international scene and it would be regarded as a major coup if Sir Alex Ferguson manages to bring him to Old Trafford.

Born in the town of Chester-le-Street, Bryan Robson had trials at Burnley, Coventry City, Sheffield Wednesday and Newcastle United before he signed with West Bromwich Albion in September 1972. Robson made his league debut away to York City in April 1975 and helped the club win promotion to the First Division the next season.

In the reverse Barclays Premier League match earlier in the season, Sir Alex Ferguson´s troops managed to edge out The White Men by 2–1 at Old Trafford.

Manchester United came from behind to beat Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday to go to the top of the table, while fierce rivals Chelsea suffered a setback against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park. Despite a nerve wracking ending yesterday, the hosts managed to hold on to their lead and eventually defeated old rivals Liverpool 2–1.

When the two clubs played each other at Anfield in October last year, Liverpool managed to beat Sir Alex Ferguson´s men by 2–0 thanks to second half goals from Fernando Torres and David Ngog.
