Manchester United have confirmed that the Old Trafford club have signed a new and highly lucrative multi-million pound deal with Turkish Airlines. The high flying airline company are a member of the Star Alliance grouping of airlines that includes British Midland International, Air Canada, United Airlines and Deutsche Lufthansa AG.

Apparently, Wayne Rooney has made a commitment to deliver goals at a rate most of his rivals cannot aspire to emulate. He has been in terrific form this season and has even been tipped to break the 40 goal mark as he closes on the 42 goal record achieved by previous Old Trafford hero Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2007-08 campaign.

Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov clinched the day as Manchester United defeated Fulham 3–0 at Old Trafford on Sunday. Although Sir Alex Ferguson´s team managed to squander a horrifying number of chances in the first half, Roy Hodgson could only watch in awe as his players were outclassed by the hosts after the interval.

The Football League Cup Final between English Premier League giants Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium in March 2009 turned out to be a very close and hard fought encounter. The hero of the day was no doubt Manchester United netminder Ben Foster who made a number of superb saves during the game.

While The Mancunians truly enjoyed the midweek clash with Milan, the West Londoners evidently found the going a lot harder in their Europa League match against Juventus with the Old Lady winning in grand style.

Gary Pallister Was Rock Solid

Born on the Kent coast in Ramsgate, Gary Pallister began his career at Northern League Billingham Town before he joined Second Division Middlesbrough as a raw teenager in 1984. After appearing in 156 league matches for The Smoggies, the rock solid player was sold to Manchester United for £2.3 million in the summer of 1989.
John O’Shea To Make A Comeback

Contrary to manager Sir Alex Ferguson´s claims that John O’Shea’s injury problems are so serious that the defender would not be available until August, he is now expected to make his return to the first team within the next couple of weeks. The Manchester United favourite has not played a game since he was injured in November 2009.

An Edinburgh native, Arthur Albiston signed professional terms with Manchester United in the summer of 1974. A spectacular wing back, the Scotsman went on to make his first senior appearance for The Manchester Reds in a Football League Cup Third Round encounter against old crosscity rivals Manchester City shortly after.
