England shook off a mediocre start to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa to beat Slovenia by 1–0 in front of a 36,000 crowd at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday. Thanks to a brilliant team effort The Three Lions managed to go through to the Second Round of the tournament and a clash with old rivals Germany.

Manchester United winger Zoran Tosic has joined Russian team CSKA Moscow for a transfer fee of around £8 million after spending only eighteen months at Old Trafford. The Serbian international was signed from Partizan Belgrade for a transfer fee of £7 million in the winter of 2009 before he was loaned out to FC Cologne the following year.

A lavishly gifted midfield creator, he was later spotted by Sir Alex Ferguson and made his league debut for Manchester United in a fine 5–1 triumph over Newcastle United at Old Trafford in August 1999.
