Sir Alex Ferguson has warned the Manchester United supporters he doesn’t want the protest against the club owners to affect his players. The Scot has called for unity as he fears the ongoing campaign against the Glazers could wreck United’s bid for a record breaking 19th league title. The Glazers were never welcomed by the fans and came under heavy fire from the protest movement last season. Manchester United being the most prominent global brand in football, the Glazer family have always maintained that the club is not for sale and that they will not be pressurised into selling.
