Federico Macheda
Newcastle United are close to a loan deal for Manchester United starlet Federico Macheda. The striker was loaned out to Sampdoria midway through the 2010-11 campaign but he failed to make an impact at the club and returned to Old Trafford at the end of the season after having made 14 league outings for the now relegated Genoa side.

Manchester United and England sharpshooter Wayne Rooney managed to record a treble as the reigning Barclays Premier League Champions outclassed and outplayed their longtime adversaries and fellow league title challengers Arsenal to the highly convincing tune of 8–2 at their Old Trafford fortress on Sunday. The Red Devils found themselves 3–1 up at half time and the home players continued to dominate the proceedings in the second period adding five further goals to eventually run out comfortable winners in the end. The result was The Arsenal’s heaviest defeat since suffering a 8–0 defeat at the hands of Loughborough Town in a Second Division game back in December 1896.

Gabriel Heinze kick started his professional soccer career with Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina before the youth went on to play for Real Valladolid, Sporting Lisbon and Paris Saint-Germain. A solid and hard working defender, Heinze eventually agreed to join Manchester United for a transfer fee of £7 million at the start of the 2004-05 season.

Sir Alex Ferguson´s youthful Manchester United side defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3–0 at Old Trafford last Monday thanks to second half goals from Danny Welbeck, Anderson and Wayne Rooney, while the North London club lost 2–0 at home to Liverpool in their last league game.

Danny Welbeck, who is back at Manchester United after a successful loan spell with Sunderland, scored one goal and created another for Anderson before Wayne Rooney made the final score read 3–0 in Manchester United´s favour.

Belfast born Tommy Jackson kick started his round ball caeer with Glentoran before he was transferred to Everton in February 1968. While at Goodison Park, the midfielder made 32 league outings for The Evertonians and won the First Division with the club in 1969–70 before he decided to team up with Nottingham Forest in October 1970.
