Manchester United star players Wayne Rooney and Tom Cleverley will both miss the friendly match against the Netherlands at Wembley on Wednesday. Rooney’s throat infection has seen him miss the last two games while Cleverley suffered an ankle injury in the Europa League clash with Ajax at Old Trafford on Thursday.

Manchester United and England icon Wayne Rooney was full of praise for Sir Alex Ferguson after the final whistle at Carrow Road yesterday. Rooney, who missed the 2–1 win over Norwich City due to throat infection, said the Old Trafford boss knows how to get the best out of his players and that he´s the key to winning the league title.

Paul Scholes scored the opening goal against Norwich City on Sunday when he headed home in the sixth minute of the encounter. With only seven minutes remaining on the referee´s clock, Grant Holt managed to equalise for the home team only for Ryan Giggs to hit the winning goal for Manchester United in the 90th minute of play.
Rio Ferdinand To Return

Manchester United centre half Rio Ferdiand is expected to return to the first team for the clash with Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday. The England international, who was rested for Manchester United´s Europa League defeat against Ajax at Old Trafford on Thursday, will hopefully bring in some much needed stability to the defence.

The Reds, who won the first leg at the Amsterdam Arena 2–0 last week thanks to second half goals from Ashley Young and Javier Hernandez, are clearly the better team of the two and should win this game by a good margin.

Reportedly, Tomasz Kuszczak has signed for Football League Championship Watford on loan until the end of the campaign. The Poland player, who has been fourth choice goalkeeper for most of the season, made his last appearance for Manchester United in the 1–1 draw with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park in May 2011.

The Scot, who has won 12 English Premier League titles, five FA Cups, four League Cups, two Champions Leagues and a Cup Winners’ Cup, also believes he will stay on as an ambassador for the club after he retires as coach.
