According to sources close to Manchester United, Dimitar Berbatov could leave for high flying Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The Bulgarian international forward arrived at Manchester United from Tottenham Hotspur partly into the 2008-09 season and has made well over 100 first team appearances during his spell at Old Trafford.

According to Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan, Sir Alex Ferguson will call time on his managerial reign at Old Trafford at the end of the 2012–13 campaign due to health concerns. The Manchester United chief suffered a minor health scare when he was taken to hospital by ambulance after suffering a nosebleed that wouldn’t stop.

New Three Lions manager Roy Hodgson was full of praise for his players after watching his side defeat Norway in an international friendly match in Oslo on Saturday. England managed to edge out the Norwegians by 1–0 courtesy of a strike from Manchester United flankman Ashley Young in the ninth minute of the friendly encounter.

Despite a dip in revenue during the first quarter, David Gill has reassured Manchester United fans Sir Alex Ferguson will have money to spend in the summer. The Old Trafford club´s quarterly results show that revenues dropped in the three months ending March 31 by £4.4 million from 2011, £70.8 million compared to £75.2 million.
