Born and growing up in Dublin, Mick Martin initiated his soccer career as a schoolboy player with local team Home Farm. At the beginning of the 1968–69 campaign, Martin moved on to famous League of Ireland club Bohemians where the hard working and strong tackling midfield player spent nearly five years before he was discovered by newly appointed Manchester United manager Tommy Docherty midway through the 1972–73 season.

Born and bred in Kingston upon Hull, Stuart Pearson signed his first professional contract with Second Division outfit Hull City where the energetic and wholehearted centre forward ultimately replaced old Boothferry Park favourite Chris Chilton. Under the shrewd leadership of ambitious player-manager Terry Neill, the industrious marksman notched up an impressive 44 goals in 128 league appearances for The Tigers between 1968 and 1974.
The Powerful Peter Davenport

Born and raised in Birkenhead, Peter Davenport started his football career with Brian Clough´s Nottingham Forest where the free flowing forward bagged 54 goals in 118 league outings before his performances eventually earned him a transfer to Manchester United. Very much impressed by the Nottingham Forest crowd puller, Manchester United boss Ron Atkinson splashed out a fee of £750,000 for him in March 1986.

Born in Cork, Roy Keane was one the greatest players ever to come from the Republic of Ireland. A deep and complicated footballer, Keane started his sometimes glittering and always controversial career at Cobh Ramblers before the immensely talented youngster was brought to Nottingham Forest by Brian Clough who eventually sold him to Manchester United for £3.75 million at the start of the 1993– 94 season.
Willie Morgan Ruled The Wing

Born in Sauchie, Willie Morgan started his career with Burnley before a transfer fee of £117,000 brought the free flowing right winger to Manchester United where he made his club debut in a 3–1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford in August 1968. Although the club were about to be dethroned, Morgan became an instant favourite with the home fans and was voted Supporters Player of the Year for both 1970 and 1971.
The Underrated Les Sealey

London born and bred, Les Sealey started his goalkeeping career at Coventry City and went on to make 158 first team appearances for The Sky Blues before he eventually decided to team up with Luton Town in 1983. After making well over 200 appearances for the Kenilworth Road club, Sealey was loaned out to Manchester United where the highly experienced goalkeeper appeared in two games during the final weeks of the the 1989–90 campaign.

David Sadler was born and brought up in Yalding and started his career at Maidstone United before he signed professional terms with Manchester United in February 1963. Under the disciplined guidance of Matt Busby, the young and promising player quickly settled down at Old Trafford and went on to make his first league appearance for Manchester United in a First Division encounter with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in August 1963.
The Granite Hewn John Fitzpatrick

Born and growing up in the city of Aberdeen, John Fitzpatrick started out at Thistle Lads Club before the promising midfield player signed professional terms with Manchester United in 1963. A product of the Manchester United Youth Academy, the talented youngster went on to win a FA Youth plaque medal the following year.
Headmaster Frank Stapleton

Born and growing up in Dublin, Frank Stapleton started out his long and distinguished professional playing career with Arsenal as an apprentice after initially being turned down by Manchester United. While with The Gunners, Stapleton helped the North London club win the unforgettable 1979 FA Cup Final when the battering ram striker managed to score one of the goals in the narrow 3–2 win against Dave Sexton´s Manchester United.
The Legendary Roger Byrne

Born and brought up in Manchester, Roger Byrne was one of Manchester United’s greatest captains and his impact on the Old Trafford club cannot be overestimated. Byrne went on to to make his first appearance for Manchester United in a First Division match against Liverpool at Anfield Road in the 1951–52 season and the gifted full back went on to become a member of the legendary Busby Babes side of the 1950s.
