Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs insists he is confident of securing a record 13th championship medal in May. And although the former Wales international has won everything there is to win as a professional footballer, the 38-year-old seasoned campaigner is still hungry for success and believes that he has lots to contribute to Manchester United’s bid for even more silverware both at home and abroad.
The Unflappable Mikael Silvestre

Hailing from the historic town of Chambray-les-Tours, Mikael Silvestre started out at Rennes before the sought after youth was lured to Inter Milan where he ultimately became a tower of strength to the club. As things turned out, the unflappable defender eventually signed for Manchester United for a fee in the region of £4 million in September 1999 and made his Premier League debut away to Liverpool shortly after.
The Accomplished Jaap Stam

Born in Kampen, Jaap Stam appeared for FC Zwolle, Cambuur Leeuwarden, Willem II and PSV Eindhoven in Holland before he was brought to Manchester United for an astonishing fee of £10.75 million at the end of the 1997–98 season. A bruising and powerful central defender, the high flying Dutchman made his first appearance in the league for Manchester United in a 2–2 draw against Leicester City at Old Trafford in August 1998.

The England players set out to beat Germany at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontei on Sunday but the German side crushed Fabio Capello´s team 4–1 in a controversial match between the old rivals. Miroslav Klose gave Germany the lead on 20 minutes as he latched on to a long goal kick from Manuel Neuer to score the opening goal of the game before Lukas Podolski made it 2–0 after 32 minutes when he found the net with a low effort.

The Three Lions shook off a mediocre start to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa to defeat plucky Slovenia 1–0 in front of a 36,000 crowd at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday. Thanks to a brilliantteam effort the England side managed to go through to the Second Round of the tournament and a clash with Germany while a Landon Donovan goal against Algeria took the United States to the very top of the group.
