According to the latest news reports, bandy legged flankman Luis Nani is most likely to miss Manchester United’s FA Cup Fourth Round tie with historical enemies Liverpool at Anfield Road this weekend. The Portuguese international, who has been in great form this campaign, was injured in the close 2–1 win away to Arsenal last Sunday and could be sidelined for several weeks with damaged ankle ligaments.

Sir Alex Ferguson´s title challenging side eased to a deserved and ultimately comfortable 4–1 triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers at their Old Trafford home on Saturday afternoon thanks to two goals each from Nani and Wayne Rooney. For the most part, it was a comparatively one sided match as a confident Manchester United team dominated possession and produced the vast majority of goal scoring chances.

Manchester United moved a step closer to a Champions League Final with a fine 2–0 semi final first leg victory over Schalke in Gelsenkirchen on Tuesday night. Ryan Giggs scored the first goal when the veteran powered a left foot shot under Manuel Neuer in the Schalke goal in the 67th minute of play before a confident Wayne Rooney completed the scoring with an unstoppable shot at the German keeper’s near post a mere two minutes later.
