Manchester United prepare to lock horns with reigning Dutch champions Ajax at their Old Trafford home in the second leg of the Europa League last 32 this Thursday night. Manchester United, who won the first leg at the Amsterdam Arena 2–0 last week thanks to second half goals from Ashley Young and Javier Hernandez, are clearly the better team of the two and should definitely win this game by a good margin.

Sir Alex Ferguson has said Luis Suarez should never play for Liverpool again after refusing to shake Patrice Evra’s hand during the traditional pre-match greeting at Old Trafford on Saturday. The Uruguay international was given an eight game ban and fined £40,000 after the Football Association claimed he racially abused the Manchester United full back during the 1–1 draw at Anfield Road back in October 2011.

A brace from Wayne Rooney gave Manchester United a well deserved 2–1 triumph against Kenny Dalglish´s Liverpool side at Old Trafford on Saturday. Controversial Liverpool forward Luis Suarez managed to score a goal from close range in the 81st minute of the clash but a disciplined and well organised Manchester United team were able to keep the Merseysiders at bay for the remainder of the game to win 2–1.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was not quite in the mood after the Old Trafford outfit were knocked out of the FA Cup by Liverpool at Anfield Road on Saturday. With only two minutes left of the match, Kenny Dalglish´s men clinched the victory when second half substitute Dirk Kuyts collected a flick-on from Andy Carroll and powered the ball past Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

A versatile attacker with an explosive shot, Solskjaer scored on his Manchester United debut against local rivals Blackburn Rovers at Old Trafford in August 1996 and racked up 126 goals in 366 matches for The Reds before retiring from the game in August 2007.
