According to the latest news reports, Sir Alex Ferguson is determined to tie 27-year-old Denmark international shot stopper Anders Lindegaard to a new and much improved contract. The Manchester United manager is believed to be willing to offer the previous Odense and Aalesund net custodian a deal worth a basic £40,000 a week.
Anders Lindegaard: “There is only room for one goalkeeper in the team. Manchester United have at least two top goalkeepers and Ben Amos as well who is very promising. It is like that in all positions with Manchester United and that is how it should be. I am never going to complain about competition. Sir Alex Ferguson has proven that he is the best manager in the world and I will always respect and accept his decisions.”
