Accord­ing to the latest news reports, Sir Alex Fer­guson is determ­ined to tie 27-year-old Den­mark inter­na­tional shot stop­per Anders Linde­gaard to a new and much improved con­tract. The Manchester United man­ager is believed to be will­ing to offer the pre­vi­ous Odense and Aale­sund net cus­todian a deal worth a basic £40,000 a week.

Anders Linde­gaard: “There is only room for one goal­keeper in the team. Manchester United have at least two top goal­keep­ers and Ben Amos as well who is very prom­ising. It is like that in all pos­i­tions with Manchester United and that is how it should be. I am never going to com­plain about com­pet­i­tion. Sir Alex Fer­guson has proven that he is the best man­ager in the world and I will always respect and accept his decisions.”
