Manchester United and England icon Wayne Rooney was full of praise for Sir Alex Ferguson after the final whistle at Carrow Road yesterday. Rooney, who missed the 2–1 win over Norwich City due to throat infection, said the Old Trafford boss knows how to get the best out of his players and that he´s the key to winning the league title.
Manchester United´s performance against Norwich City may have been a bit shaky but three points at this stage of the Premier League campaign are absolutely priceless. After the narrow and hard fought victory over The Canaries on Sunday, The Manchester Reds are now just two points behind their rivals and fellow title chasers Manchester City. Wayne Rooney: “Sir Alex Ferguson is a great manager. He knows which players he can speak to and which players he can shout at. He knows how the players react and how to get the best out of them. That’s important, especially in this day and age. His mentality for the game, his commitment and desire and obviously things that the players try and take on themselves. For me, he has been brilliant. He is a great leader of our team.”
