Manchester United Chief Ex­ec­ut­ive David Gill has told the club´s fol­low­ers that they can look for­ward to sig­ni­fic­ant in­vest­ment in the squad this sum­mer. The ever op­tim­istic David Gill has fur­ther­more in­sisted that the club are go­ing to con­tinue to be suc­cess­ful on the pitch with suf­fi­cient money avail­able to spend on big name players.

Al­though Manchester United have spent close to £15 mil­lion on Shinji Kagawa and Nick Pow­ell so far this sum­mer, Old Traf­ford boss Sir Alex Fer­guson prob­ably needs to in­vest even more money on new play­ers be­fore the sum­mer trans­fer win­dow closes in or­der to fight off the ever in­creas­ing com­pet­i­tion from fel­low Eng­lish Premier League clubs such as Chelsea, Liv­er­pool, Manchester City and Tot­ten­ham Hot­spur. David Gill: “We’ve got a lot of in­ter­est­ing and good op­por­tun­it­ies to im­prove our cash flow go­ing forward.”
