According to sources close to Stamford Bridge, caretaker manager Roberto Di Matteo is expected to make a move for Manchester United left fullback Ezekiel Fryers. The England U19 international, who is yet to agree terms on a new deal with Manchester United, has made two Premier League appearances for the club this season.
Born and bred in Manchester, Ezekiel Fryers made his senior debut for Manchester United in a 3–0 Football League Cup victory over historic enemies Leeds United at Elland Road back in September. A strong running and versatile defender, the prodigious young player went on to make his first league appearance when he entered the field as a second period substitute for Patrice Evra in a 4–1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford in December. Unfortunately, Ezekiel Fryers has now joined the growing number of contract rebels who refuse to commit their long-term future to Manchester United.
