Great Britain prepare to take on the United Arab Emirates at Wembley Stadium in the second round of football at the 2012 Olympics in London this coming Sunday. Although Team Great Britain disappointingly failed to beat Senegal at Old Trafford last Thurday, Stuart Pearce´s men are firm favourites to emerge victorious from the match.
Great Britain should have won the encounter with Senegal, but a late goal from Maccabi Tel Aviv marksman Moussa Konate gave The Lions of Teranga a draw. The United Arab Emirates, for their part, lost their opening match 2–1 to Uruguay at Old Trafford on Friday and the hosts should prove too strong for the Middle East side.
