Manchester United Big Favourites

Manchester United welcome Wigan Athletic to Old Trafford this Saturday looking to bag three points. The hosts will miss Anderson, Rafael da Silva, Owen Hargreaves, Michael Owen and Antonio Valencia who are out with injuries, while the visitors will be without Emmerson Boyce and James McCarthy who are sidelined with long term injuries. The Reds have now gone 13 games without defeat this season and they are big favourites to beat Wigan.
Sir Alex Ferguson: “I think Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez gets the rewards by sticking to his philosophy. Martinez sticks by what he believes in and that’s good. It shows he has strong management and I think his players now believe in him too. There is a bit of inconsistency about them but they are capable. Wigan beat Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane, had a good result against West Bromwich Albion and drew with Liverpool. There are surprise results coming about. We saw some evidence of that last campaign and it has been the same this season. Many people make a story about Manchester United being undefeated, but we have thrown points away, whereas last week we stole a point.”
Manchester United have not lost a match in the Premier League since April.
