Manchester United Huge Favourites

Manchester United welcome Harry Redknapp´s Tottenham side to Old Trafford on Saturday. Manchester United have not had any serious problems dealing with Tottenham in the past and the statistics surrounding the history of this classic encounter makes depressing reading for Spurs fans as Sir Alex Ferguson´s players have taken seven wins from the last ten meetings between the two clubs, while The Lilywhites have managed three draws.
Although Wayne Rooney’s marketability has been hurt by several scandals lately, he has now signed an extension to his contract which will see the centre forward spend the next five seasons at Manchester United. The England international signed a new five-year deal last Friday just a few days after telling the newspapers he desperately wanted to leave the club. In order to fight off other big time clubs, Sir Alex Ferguson followed Wayne Rooney’s deal by getting Patrice Evra and John O’Shea to agree to lucrative long term contracts as well. Apparently, things are slowly but surely getting back to normal at the club.
