Manchester United Meet Barcelona

Manchester United have confirmed that the club will meet Barcelona in a pre-season friendly at the 43,000 capacity Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg on Wednesday the eight of August. The friendly encounter in Sweden will be a replay of the UEFA Champions League finals between Barcelona and Manchester United back in 2009 and 2011.
Manchester United will play Pep Guardiola´s Barcelona team as part of the Old Trafford club´s pre-season schedule which also includes friendly matches in China, Norway and South Africa. The Catalans have met Manchester United on thirteen occasions but have managed to defeat The Reds only four times. The last time the two giants met was when Manchester United edged out Barcelona 2–1 at at Fedex Field in Washington DC in July 2011.
