Manchester United Refuse To Lose

Manchester United managed to draw 2–2 against Aston Villa at Villa Park last Saturday. Ashley Young and Marc Albrighton gave Aston Villa a 2–0 lead with 15 minutes left but the Manchester United players refused to be defeated as Federico Macheda and Nemanja Vidic scored one goal a piece during the final stages of the encounter.
Sir Alex Ferguson´s Manchester United proved once again that they are an extremely hard side to beat. In the game against Aston Villa, the Old Trafford side netted twice in the last nine minutes of the clash to earn themselves a 2–2 draw against The Villains and thus stretching their undefeated run to a highly impressive 26 matches. After a somewhat dull first period, the English Premier League match eventually came to life after the half time break. Ashley Young put Aston Villa ahead in the 72nd minute of the battle when the speedy flankman netted from the penalty spot after he had been brought down inside the eighteen-yard area by Manchester United right fullback Wes Brown. Sir Alex Ferguson immediately replaced Dimitar Berbatov and Javier Hernandez with Federico Macheda and Gabriel Obertan, but Aston Villa doubled their lead in the 75th minute of action when an accurate cross ball from Stewart Downing was tapped into the back of the net by Marc Albrighton. Federico Macheda then reduced the deficit with an eye-catching strike from 20 yards out after Scotland international Darren Fletcher back-heeled the ball back to the Italian. With five minutes left to play Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic squared the tie when he met a good cross from the irrepressible Nani with a diving header that Brad Friedel in the Aston Villa goal stood no chance with. Manchester United Team: Edwin van der Sar, Wes Brown, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra, Luis Nani, Darren Fletcher, Michael Carrick, Ji-Sung Park, Dimitar Berbatov, Javier Hernandez.
