Sir Alex Ferguson´s Manchester United side make the short journey to Wigan to take on relegation battling Wigan Athletic this upcoming Saturday. Oman international Ali Al Habsi should return to action for the struggling home side after being ineligible to face Bolton Wanderers last week, while Manchester United will miss Anderson, Owen Hargreaves, Ji-sung Park and Antonio Valencia who are all out sidelined with long term injuries.
Sir Alex Ferguson: “Michael Owen is back training and could be available on Saturday. The situation has not changed very much. We are trying to get Ryan Giggs fit. Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans will be available for next week, and that means the Liverpool game. It is rather difficult to assess Antonio Valencia because he is doing very well. Valencia has been taking part in all the sessions, so it is just that decision to play him in terms of his own confidence after such a long time out. It could be two weeks. Ji-sung Park will be two weeks and Anderson three weeks, depending on how the player‘s progress goes.”
The Latics have lost each of their 11 Premier League meetings with The Reds.
