Sir Alex Ferguson´s Manchester United have once again been named the world´s richest soccer club by Forbes Magazine. The reigning Premier League champions, who are valued at a massive £1.39 billion, top the American magazine’s list for the eighth year running following yet another successful year for the famous club.
According to Forbes Magazine, Manchester United are the richest club in the world thanks to shrewd marketing to a worldwide supporters base. The biweekly magazine also writes that The Red Devils have won eighteen league titles, ten since the start of the FA Premier League in 1992, but continued dominance of English soccer has not endeared the Glazers to some die-hard Manchester United supporters who now want to buy them out. Forbes is widely regarded as the leading business magazine in the world, reaching more than 4.3 million readers via publications in ten languages in over a 100 countries.
