A mere nine minutes later, cent­ral defender Micah Richards found Ser­gio Aguero who made the score read 3–0 in Manchester City´s favour. Scot­tish inter­na­tional Dar­ren Fletcher hit a con­sol­a­tion goal for Manchester United in the 81st minute of play only for super sub­sti­tute Edin Dzeko to make it 4–1 to the vis­it­ing team a minute from time. And as if that wasn´t pain­ful enough, there was more to come for the Old Traf­ford side when Silva and Dzeko net­ted one goal each in stop­page time to provide the vis­it­ors a sen­sa­tional 6–1 Premier League win. After los­ing to Manchester City, The Manchester Reds are now trail­ing their nou­veau riche neigh­bours by five points in the Eng­lish Premier League table.
