According to the latest reports, former Manchester United and England goal poacher Michael Owen has been linked to a move to his boyhood idols Everton. The trigger happy sharpshooter, who was released from Manchester United at the end of the 2011-12 campaign, has also attracted the interest of ambitious Stoke City chief Tony Pulis.
Chester born Michael Owen initiated his professional football career at Liverpool before he went on to appear for Real Madrid, Newcastle United and Manchester United. The natural born hitman made his international senior debut for England in a 2–0 friendly loss against Chile at Wembley Stadium back in February 1998 and managed to collect an impressive 89 full caps for his country, scoring 40 goals in the process. Michael Owen: “I have been in contact with quite a few teams and I expect to be donning a new shirt soon.”
