Nemanja Vidic Hopes To Return Soon
According to the latest medical reports, Nemanja Vidic could soon make his long awaited return to the Manchester United first team. Despite of the fact Manchester United have enjoyed an excellent start to the English Premier League campaign, it is no secret that the club have had serious problems in defence recently as key players Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic have both been sidelined with injuries.
Born and brought up in the former Republic of Yugoslavia, Nemanja Vidic appeared for Red Star Belgrade and Spartak Moscow before he was signed by Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson midway through the 2005-06 campaign. A tall and commanding central defender, Vidic made his Manchester United debut in a 2–1 victory in a Football League Cup Semi Final Second Leg against Blackburn Rovers at Old Trafford in January 2006 and he quickly became an automatic selection. The air traffic controller has never been a shrinking violet in defence and has so far made over 200 outings for Manchester United during his time at Old Trafford. Alas, Nemanja Vidic has not played a game since injuring a calf muscle at West Bromwich Albion on the opening day of the season.
