Molde supremo Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that he would consider an offer from Aston Villa to become the club´s new manager. Reportedly, the former Manchester United goal plunderer had talks with ambitious Aston Villa proprietor Randy Lerner on Friday about succeeding Alex McLeish, who received the sack last Monday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: “I have a contract for two more years and I will deal with it. I have not received an offer, but if I do I have to consider it then. Now I am just focused on doing my job here. I have said for a long time that I have ambitions to be an English Premier League manager, but I have not been chasing after any jobs. It is up to Aston Villa now. I have only had a chat with the club and expect them to speak to other candidates. I am sorry for the way it came out. But I would have spoken to Aston Villa anyway, even though it has turned out like this. I owe that to myself, my ambitions and my family.”
