A brace from Wayne Rooney gave Manchester United a well deserved 2–1 triumph against Kenny Dalglish´s Liverpool side at Old Trafford on Saturday. Controversial Liverpool forward Luis Suarez managed to score a goal from close range in the 81st minute of the clash but a disciplined and well organised Manchester United team were able to keep the Merseysiders at bay for the remainder of the game to win 2–1.

Manchester United are looking to extract revenge on bitter adversaries Liverpool after being knocked out of the FA Cup by Kenny Dalglish´s men at Anfield Road a fortnight ago.
