For the first time in Manchester United his­tory the club will take on Major League Soc­cer oppos­i­tion as they begin their first North Amer­ican tour since 2004. The Manchester United squad will play five friendly matches across the Amer­ican con­tin­ent from Canada to the United States and finally down to Mex­ico. The Reds will be up against Glas­gow Celtic in Toronto on July 16, Phil­adelphia Union on July 21 and Kan­sas City Wiz­ards four days later, before they even­tu­ally face the Major League Soc­cer All Stars at the 70,000 capa­city Reli­ant Sta­dium in Hou­s­ton on July 28.
