Neth­er­lands inter­na­tional for­ward Robin van Per­sie has passed his med­ical test at Manchester United and is ready to play for The Red Dev­ils. The reign­ing Foot­baller of the Year could now go straight into the Manchester United first team for the open­ing match of the cam­paign against local rivals Ever­ton at Good­ison Park this Monday. 

Sir Alex Fer­guson is quite con­fid­ent that the £22 mil­lion sum­mer sign­ing from Arsenal will be avail­able to make his Manchester United debut against Ever­ton on Monday. Sir Alex Fer­guson: “I am sure Robin van Per­sie will be avail­able for Monday’s game. Robin van Per­sie and Wayne Rooney are two fant­astic play­ers and it will be great to have both of them. It gives us more strength and more com­bin­a­tions up front. It is great to have a player of Robin van Persie’s qual­it­ies to come into the squad. I am very pleased.”
