Ryan Giggs Is Ready For The Olympics

Team Great Bri­tain cap­tain Ryan Giggs looks for­ward to the Lon­don 2012 Sum­mer Olympics which will kick off on the 27th of July. Des­pite a dis­tin­guished and immensely suc­cess­ful club career with Manchester United, the well respec­ted and highly exper­i­enced wing wiz­ard has never played in a major inter­na­tional tour­na­ment before.

The Manchester United ever­green simply can­not wait to kick off the first match against Senegal at Old Traf­ford. Ryan Giggs: “My career for my coun­try has obvi­ously been the total oppos­ite to the one for my club. I have been so suc­cess­ful with Manchester United but not so with Wales. I do not like to pri­or­it­ise medals because every single one means some­thing spe­cial. But of course, this would be dif­fer­ent because you never thought you would be com­pet­ing in an Olympics. To win a gold medal would be special.”
