Sir Alex Ferguson Angry At Referee

Sir Alex Ferguson said after the clash with Wigan Athletic yesterday that the referee should have given Manchester United a penalty in the second half. The Manchester Reds screamed for a spot-kick in the 72nd minute when Maynor Figueroa seemed to have handled a cross ball from Phil Jones, but referee Phil Dowd waved play on.
Should the Manchester United players miss out on the title this season, this a match they will have nightmares about. After losing narrowly 1–0 to Wigan Athletic at DW Stadium on Wednesday evening, Manchester United now top the English Premier League table five points ahead of neighbours and fellow title challengers Manchester City who demolished Roy Hodgson´s West Bromwich Albion to the tune of 4–0 at Etihad Stadium. In their next game, Sir Alex Ferguson´s troops will take on Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
