Sir Alex Ferguson has sent his congratulations to old foes Manchester City after their dramatic victory over Queens Park Rangers at Eastlands. Despite defeating Sunderland 1–0 away, Manchester United were denied the title as The Light Blues beat The Hoops 3–2 thanks to goals from Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero in stoppage time.
After waiting for 44 years, Manchester City are the champions of England for the third time in the long history of the club. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said after the match against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last Sunday, that anybody who wins the English Premier League deserves it because it is a long haul. However, Manchester United´s noisy neighbours have now provided the success hungry Old Trafford supremo with a new impetus to design a new dream team and start all over again.
