Sir Alex Ferguson Hails Paul Scholes

Sir Alex Ferguson was full of praise for Paul Scholes after the player starred in a central midfield role against Bolton Wanderers at Old Trafford last Saturday. The Manchester United evergreen, who scored the opening goal shortly before the interval, enjoyed an excellent game until he was replaced by Ryan Giggs in the 69th minute.
Paul Scholes is the epitome of a Sir Alex Ferguson player, passionate and not afraid of hard work. The Mancunian turned professional at the age of 18 and made his Premier League debut for Manchester United when he came on as a substitute in a narrow 3–2 defeat against Ipswich Town at Portman Road in September 1994. A long serving club stalwart, Paul Scholes initially made his retirement from the game of football shortly after the Champions League Final against Barcelona at Wembley in May 2011.
