Sir Alex Fer­guson was well pleased with his Manchester United team´s effort against Premier Soc­cer League side Amazulu FC at the Moses Mab­hida Sta­dium in Durban on Wed­nes­day night. The Manchester United man­ager also gave a lot of credit to the South African club fol­low­ing the tightly con­tested pre-season friendly encounter.

Manchester United even­tu­ally won the game 1–0 thanks to a goal from Fed­erico Macheda in the 20th minute of the clash. The Italian U21 inter­na­tional col­lec­ted a through ball from fel­low striker Dim­itar Ber­batov and hammered a low right-footed effort behind goal­keeper Tapuwa Kapini and into the net. Sir Alex Fer­guson: “They showed a lot of pos­it­ive signs. I think they did very well. They weren’t over­whelmed by the occa­sion in any way. I think they changed their tac­tics a little bit to try and get on top of us after the goal.”
