Sir Alex Ferguson was well pleased with his Manchester United team´s effort against Premier Soccer League side Amazulu FC at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Wednesday night. The Manchester United manager also gave a lot of credit to the South African club following the tightly contested pre-season friendly encounter.
Manchester United eventually won the game 1–0 thanks to a goal from Federico Macheda in the 20th minute of the clash. The Italian U21 international collected a through ball from fellow striker Dimitar Berbatov and hammered a low right-footed effort behind goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini and into the net. Sir Alex Ferguson: “They showed a lot of positive signs. I think they did very well. They weren’t overwhelmed by the occasion in any way. I think they changed their tactics a little bit to try and get on top of us after the goal.”
