Stuart Pearce´s Team Great Britain prepare to lock horns with Uruguay at the 75,000 capacity Millennium Stadium in Cardiff this Wednesday night. The Great Britain players are joint top of their group along with Senegal and they only need a point against Oscar Tabarez’s Uruguay side to progress through to the Olympic Quarter Finals.
Team Great Britain managed to beat the United Arab Emirates 3–1 at Wembley Stadium on Sunday with Ryan Giggs, Scott Sinclair and Daniel Sturridge scoring one goal each for the hosts. The South Americans, meanwhile, suffered an embarrassing and unexpected 2–0 defeat against underdogs Senegal in their last encounter.
