Manchester United are said to have agreed a transfer fee of around £26 million with Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A team Sao Paulo for the purchase of midfield player Lucas Moura. The Brazil international has attracted the interest of a number of top clubs already this summer, including Internazionale and Real Madrid amongst others.
Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva joined local outfit Sao Paulo in 2005 and made his first team debut for the Estadio do Morumbi club in 2010. The attack minded midfield dynamo debuted for Brazil in a comfortable 2–0 success against Scotland at the Emirates Stadium in London in March 2011 and has appeared for the country of his birth on 15 occasions so far. Lucas Moura has been one of the most coveted young players of the summer, drawing interest from numerous leading clubs all over Europe. Sir Alex Ferguson: “At this moment we´re looking at other options in terms of bringing other players in. We´re not lying on our backsides doing nothing. We´re trying hard to bring other players to the club.”
