Accord­ing to sources close to Old Traf­ford, Manchester United gaf­fer Sir Alex Fer­guson is con­sid­er­ing a trans­fer move for Real Mad­rid and Tur­key player Nuri Sahin. The dynamic mid­field play­maker, who made only four La Liga appear­ances for The Whites last cam­paign, is rated at £20 mil­lion by the Esta­dio San­ti­ago Bern­abeu side.

Born in the Ger­man town of Ludenscheid to Turk­ish immig­rants, Nuri Sahin star­ted out with Bor­us­sia Dortmund where the prom­ising young­ster made 135 Bundes­liga out­ings before he was trans­ferred to Real Mad­rid at the start of the 2011-12 sea­son. As des­tiny would have it, Nuri Sahin made his inter­na­tional senior debut for Tur­key when he took the field as a second period replace­ment for fel­low mid­field player Sel­cuk Sahin in a close and hard fought 2–1 tri­umph against Ger­many in Istan­bul in Octo­ber 2005.
