Manchester United have con­firmed that the Old Traf­ford club have signed a new and highly luc­rat­ive multi-million pound deal with Turk­ish Air­lines. The high fly­ing air­line com­pany are a mem­ber of the Star Alli­ance group­ing of air­lines that includes Brit­ish Mid­land Inter­na­tional, Air Canada, United Air­lines and Deutsche Lufthansa AG.

Turk­ish Air­lines today employ more than 12,000 people and the com­pany are now Europe’s fourth-largest air­line. David Gill: “The con­tract with Turk­ish Air­lines is yet another example of the global appeal of Manchester United and we wel­come the air­line com­pany to the club. Already the com­pany are prov­ing to be a dynamic and com­mit­ted part­ner which will undoubtedly allow us to fur­ther develop the reach of Manchester United and for Turk­ish Air­lines to grow their cus­tomer base in both Manchester and world wide.”
