Wayne Rooney Is Back To Form

The Three Lions can make a giant step towards the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine next year by defeating Bulgaria at the Vassil Levski Stadion in Sofia on Friday. Wayne Rooney scored an astonishing treble when Manchester United beat old enemies Arsenal 8–2 at Old Trafford last Sunday and the born again goal poacher now feels that he is getting back to his best form after his very own Annus Horribilis last year.
Wayne Rooney: “On New Year’s Day I was quite happy to put 2010 behind me and I was looking forward to starting the New Year and doing well. I scored my first goal from open play since March 2010 against West Bromwich Albion. From then I was happy and I was confident I could help the team. It’s hard when you know you can do things but you are trying it and it is not working. Thankfully I managed to get over it and play some of the best football I have played in a long time. I think there have been times when I have been more aggressive on the pitch and gone in for silly challenges. But I’m not really doing that anymore and I’m feeling more relaxed on the pitch. I am enjoying it and I am in a happy place both on and off the pitch. I am looking forward to every game that comes.”
