Fabio Capello’s Eng­land team lock horns with reign­ing World Cup win­ners Spain in an inter­na­tional friendly encounter at Wemb­ley Sta­dium this upcom­ing Sat­urday.  The Three Lions man­ager has decided, how­ever, to leave Wayne Rooney out of the squad for the game as the pro­lific Manchester United goal poacher will be sus­pen­ded for the first three matches of the 2012 European Cham­pi­on­ships in Poland and Ukraine.

Spain play a dif­fer­ent style to other teams and the Rooney pos­i­tion will be really import­ant not only in this game but when we play in the Euros. It will be dif­fi­cult for us because Spain have improved quite a lot. They´ve won the European Cham­pi­on­ships and the World Cup which has given them con­fid­ence.
